The double expandable style and hydraulic lift on the roof opens up this smaller mobile trailer into an amazing virtual production box for Stargate Studios. Using the trailer, they can film just about anything they can imagine.”
The interior of the MagicBox is lined with LED screens, which are a vital component of the virtual production process. However, determining the best method to mount the screens to both the ceiling and the walls presented a challenge for Craftsmen’s team. Working together, their team designed and created a unique framing system to secure the screens both during transport and filming.
“Every trailer we build at Craftsmen is different because every client is different, and the ways in which they utilize the trailer are different,” said Steele. “With every build, we make sure we understand how our clients need to use their trailer and what they need to be able to do with it. Then, we figure out how to do just that. The customization process from design to delivery is all about finding ways to make the trailer into everything the customer wants it to be.”
