Marriott International announced the completion of a renovation of the Marriott Anchorage Downtown hotel.
The scope of the work included the property’s guest rooms, public spaces such as lobbies, restaurants, and meeting and event space.
The Marriott Anchorage Downtown is centrally located in the city’s downtown area near the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center that opened in 2008 that is used for conventions, trade shows, meetings, and concerts. It’s also a 12-minute drive from Ted Stevens International Airport, which is served by Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines, among other carriers.
The completely renovated guest rooms feature a modern décor that features neutral colors with what the hotel termed “pops” or bright blue and grey, along with natural wood and leather. Many of the guest rooms offer mountain views.
The hotel has multiple dining options for guests. Café Promenade offers breakfast and dinner with menus that use locally sourced ingredients. The Great Room is open for lunch and dinner and serves drinks into the late evening hours.
The fitness center offers a variety of equipment as well as a heated indoor pool.
The hotel offers over 14,000 square feet (1,300 square meters) of meeting and event space and six separate spaces. The largest space can accommodate 900 people.
