NRIA calls Triple Play “a success,” says attendees valued face-to-face connections

SECAUCUS, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / December 21, 2021 / National Realty Investment Advisors (NRIA), a real estate investment firm and luxury real estate developer, says that this year’s Triple Play realtor trade show and convention was a “success” for the NRIA team.

“It felt a little bit like the kids finally got to go out and play after being stuck inside for a long time,” said Ivel Turner, Senior Vice President of Investor Relations for the Secaucus, New Jersey-based NRIA.

Held December 6 through 9 in Atlantic City, 2021’s Triple Play was a comeback of sorts for this event, which in a typical year, attracts thousands of real estate professionals from throughout the United States.

COVID put a halt to the Triple Play last year and most trade conventions in the U.S. and around the globe.

And while health concerns remain surrounding the coronavirus and its variants, the overwhelming sentiment of those attending this year’s Triple Play, according to NRIA’s Turner, was, “It’s great to be back.”

“You just can’t replace that kind of in-person communication,” said Stephanie Cortese, Senior Installment Exchange Coordinator for NRIA. “There was good energy there that everyone could feel. It was about face-to-face human interaction.”

The Triple Play was an opportunity, she said, for realtors to talk to real people who aren’t behind a phone or computer screen and explore the newest developments in real estate.

For NRIA’s Cortese and Turner, the Triple Play was their time to make valuable in-person connections, they said. While describing the event, Turner spoke admiringly of the buzz around Cortese as she met with the realtors approaching NRIA’s table.

“Stephanie was a dynamo,” he said. “She was tireless. It was amazing to watch. You could see people’s eyes sparkle as they had that ‘light bulb moment’ while she described NRIA’s opportunity to them.”

That opportunity, Ivel explained, is the NRIA installment exchange, which allows real estate investors to defer capital gains taxes on their investments.

By reinvesting their profits in NRIA, Turner said they defer capital gains taxes and make additional profits on their new investment.

“You don’t deny the government the money, ” he said, “you defer it. The client can also opt to take out some of the money they earn.”

Throughout the three-day Triple Play convention, realtors from up and down the east coast showed interest in NRIA’s strategy and were eager to learn more, Turner said.

Cortese explained that NRIA pools funds from many investors to build or buy and renovate properties. NRIA then sells those properties for profit for their investors. This makes for an ideal real estate investment opportunity for those who do not want the responsibilities of direct ownership, Turner said.

“They get immediate monthly annualized income without the hassles and responsibilities that come with being property managers or buying and building properties,” he explained. “NRIA does it for them.”

And just how can all this benefit the realtors who refer their clients to NRIA?

Turner explained that realtors are rewarded with an administration fee for each client who signs on with NRIA. A win-win-win for the realtor, client, and NRIA.

“The convention is nice fertile ground for doing business,” Turner said. “Every agent is going to sell something that will make a capital gain. That’s where they can say, ‘Hey, let me show you how you can make money on the money you would pay in taxes.'”

All told, the Triple Play was a perfect space to market new real estate opportunities, according to Turner and Cortese.

“Coming out of the COVID lockdowns, the Triple Play had a good outcome for all involved this year,” Cortese said. “The energy was fantastic. It was non-stop.”

“We were all thrilled to be connected in person again,” she added. “I’m already excited for next year.”
